Harry Thompson was born in Nebraska, received his B.S. (1912) and A.M. (1914) from the University of Nebraska. He moved to Utah about 1919 and was on the faculty at the University of Utah as Assistant Professor of Pharmacy for a short time. He eventually opened his own drug store (Harvard Drug Co.) located at 1083 South State Street.
The collection contains photographs of his family, family trips, home, pharmacy, Utah cities (Logan, Ogden and Salt Lake City), nature scenes, Utah canyons, etc. Many are unidentified.
