The collection includes 19 Kodachrome Transparencies taken by Nathan Finck and processed in 1960. A native of Ohio, Finck worked as a naturalist for Ohio state parks. He took a number of photographs on his many trips across the United States, including the 19 slides that make up this collection.
Since chronology is difficult to determine, the collection is arranged geographically, beginning with Northern Utah and moving South.
