Arts Day on the Hill
Join Utah Arts Council Board of Directors, Utah Cultural Alliance, and Friends of Art Works for Kids! for the third annual Arts Day on the Hill on February 4, 2014. Patrons of the arts will meet and talk with their state senators and representatives in the Capitol Rotunda. Be among the arts-interested individuals and organizations that will gather to celebrate the arts and meet with their state representatives. Utah Arts & Museums grant recipients may use this activity in lieu of the required legislative thank-you letter. Contact Leah Piccolo for more information.
Museums Advocacy Day
Join the Utah Museums Association and Office of Museum Services Board at Museums Advocacy Day at the Legislature on February 25, 2014. It is an excellent day for participating museums to present displays that reflect the number and diversity of museums in Utah and have the opportunity to connect with their elected officials. Learn more and register on the UMA web site by February 18, 2014.
Mountain West Arts Conference
Mark your calendars for the next MWAC, May 1, 2014. The Mountain West Arts Conference is designed to help individuals and organizations in the arts community access essential resources and create community connections throughout Utah and the Mountain West. It is also part of a long-term effort to sustain the creative industry by providing opportunities, education, tools, information and resources that serve all contributors to the arts.
Governor’s Leadership in the Arts Awards
The Governor’s Awards were created in 1980 to honor individuals and organizations who encourage and support arts and culture in Utah. In a time when innovative artistic and cultural projects are continually emerging throughout the state, we look forward to honoring Utah’s artistic visionaries and supporters each year. Who will you nominate in 2014?

Change Leader Random Acts of Art
Change Leader Random Acts of Art bring creative solutions to social and community needs. Each project is spearheaded by a member of a statewide network of artists and arts administrators known as Change Leaders. There are over 140 Change Leaders in 50 cities and 19 counties across Utah that have been through intensive leadership training and continue to meet, collaborate, and build their communities.
We maintain and operate three exhibition spaces. Please visit our Galleries to find out what is showing.
