Multicultural Youth Leadership Summit

The 3rd Annual Multicultural Youth Leadership Summit (MYLS) is a one-day conference bringing students, educators, parents, community leaders, state government, and other organizations from across the state. The main goal of the MYLS is to provide participants with an inspiring experience that will stimulate educational success and shape the leaders of tomorrow.

This year the MYLS will be held at the Salt Palace, Salt Lake City on October 29, 2014. Theme, keynote and breakout sessions will be forthcoming. Stay tuned for more information and make sure to like our Facebook & Twitter for constant updates.

Here is what some students have to say about the MYLS

History

In support of Governor Gary R. Herbert’s education initiative ‘66% by 2020,’ a state goal that 66% of all working-age Utahns will hold a post-secondary degree or certificate by 2020, the Utah Multicultural Affairs Office hosted the first annual Multicultural Youth Leadership Summit on April 30, 2013 at the Davis Conference Center in Layton, Utah.

Multicultural Affairs plans to host this event Every Fall before school starts with hopes that at each summit students learn how they can be agents of positive social change.
