Volume 102006 Preservation Magazine Cover

Tenth Anniversary Issue

For ten years, Utah Preservation: Building on the Past has celebrated the diversity of historic preservation across the state of Utah. The magazine has chronicled the major restoration projects of the last decade, including the Utah Governor’s Mansion, Peery’s Egyptian Theatre, the Brigham Young Academy, and the Utah State Capitol. It has also showcased history and historic preservation in unexpected places: neon skyscrapers, and many archaeological sites.

Behind all of these buildings, projects, and sites are people who care about them, document them, nurture them, sacrifice for them, and stand up for them. On the tenth anniversary of Utah Preservation: Building on the Past, the Division of State History and Utah Heritage Foundation thank all the people who made the projects featured in the magazine over the last decade possible. We also thank the many advertisers who supported the magazine each year. And
a special thanks to you, our reader, for sharing
in our celebration of historic preservation.
