Multicultural Youth Leadership Summit
This one-day, conference-style program brings together parents, educators, state officials, and community members for a series of presentations and breakout sessions encouraging youth to bridge the gap between themselves and their communities.

Cultural Competency Training
Multicultural Affairs provides cultural competency training to state departments, organizations, and community leaders with the insight, direction and guidance that will increase the effectiveness of program and service delivery to diverse audiences.

Multicultural Youth Leadership Day at the Capitol
An event for students and community members to come together to celebrate Utah’s growing multicultural community. Students have the opportunity to visit the Utah State Capitol and meet with state legislators. During this time educators and students in the community are also recognized for their work in the community.

Multicultural Affairs Voter Registration Day
In recognition of National Voter Registration Day and in partnership with the Lieutenant Governor’s Office this one-day event encourages individuals to vote and registers voters ahead of the voter registration deadline.

Partnership with the Homeless Task Force
Multicultural Affairs partners with the Homeless Task Force in the Point-In-Time Count by distributing surveys through the Homeless Outreach Program.

First Lady’s Parenting Conference and Expo Multicultural Stage
Multicultural Affairs partners with First Lady Jeanette Herbert’s Parenting Conference and Expo to encourage parental involvement and assist in finding resources for parents to help in improving their parenting skills.
