Multicultural Affairs Voter Registration Day

In recognition of National Voter Registration Day and in partnership with the Lieutenant Governor’s Elections initiative, on Sept. 24, 2013 the Utah Office of Multicultural Affairs will host a one-day event to help register or re-register voters ahead of the voter registration deadlines.

The deadlines to register to vote for the Nov. 5 election are Oct. 7 if the registration is submitted by mail and Oct. 21 if the registration is submitted in person or online at  To register to vote online a voter will need a driver’s license or Utah State Identification Card with a current address.  If a voter registers after the Oct. 7 deadline they will not be eligible to vote during the early voting period.

Avoid these deadlines and ensure your vote counts by registering with Multicultural Affairs at the Rio Grande Depot located at 300 South Rio Grande Street from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 24, 2013.  To register to vote individuals must be at least 18 years-old on or before Nov. 5, 2013, must be a citizen of the United States, and must be a resident of Utah for at least 30 days before Nov. 5, 2013.
