AmeriCorps members get things done for Utah. From tending trails and streams, to honing literacy skills in our youth, to helping the chronically homeless find permanent solutions to their housing needs, AmeriCorps members are on the ground making a difference in the lives of Utahn’s. We are proud of the work that is being done across the state and we are excited for the brand new members that will start their service this fall.
AmeriCorps in Utah is a great way to bring federal resources back to our home state to make a real difference in our communities. As the new grant year begins in August we are excited to be bringing over $2.7 million to the state to serve the needs of the medically underserved, to provide emergency preparedness assistance, to engage children in a safe school environment, to build homes and to provide much needed social services in communities struggling to meet the needs of their populations.
We look forward to a great new year of service!
