Summer of Service

U Serve Utah…
One day, one week, one summer at a time!

Summer of Service is Utah’s statewide initiative to celebrate and mobilize youth to make a meaningful difference in their local communities by volunteering during the summer.

Eligibility and recommended hours

Kids Ages 5-12 (50 hours)
Youth 13-18 (75 hours)
Young Adults 19-25 (100 hours)

Qualify for prizes:

Prizes are awarded monthlybased on geographic area, and
a minimum of 10 hours served

When:

Anytime, day or night
June 1 – August 31

Where:

Anywhere there is a need:

  • Nonprot Organizations
  • Faith Based Organizations
  • Community Events
  • Government Agencies and Schools
  • Individuals (neighbors, family, others)

Why serve:

-Make a difference in someones life
-Learn new skills
-Build your resume
-Keep active, stay busy, avoid boredom
-Receive recognition from the Lt. Governor
and the President of the United States
-Have fun and make new friends
-Learn about the great services
and organizations in your community

How do I participate:

to find an organization in your community
that is tracking hours or use the tool provided right on our website to keep track of the service you provide all summer long.
