Clifton L. Bray was born 14 August 1888 in Denver, Colorado. He married Dorothy Wheeler in Salt Lake City. He worked for Shipler Photographers Studio from about 1923 to 1938 after which he moved to San Francisco, California where he worked as a news photographer for the
