Community Arts

Our community arts team is committed to connecting people and communities all over the state to ensure long term sustainability of arts and museums in Utah. We work closely with Local Arts Agencies, which play an important role in advocating, encouraging, and developing arts and cultural awareness. Another central component to the community arts program is the Change Leader Program, which is a professional development course that develops skills and builds an active network of community leaders.

Folk & Traditional Arts

Utah was among the first state arts agencies to establish programs specifically designed to serve traditional arts and artists. Our folk arts services assist cultural communities in perpetuating their own artistic traditions while fostering public understanding and pride in Utah’s multifaceted cultural heritage.

Literary Arts

Our literary arts mission is to nurture, assist and encourage Utah writers at all levels of accomplishment, in all literary genres, and from every part of the state. We work to assist literary organizations to identify and reach out to new audiences for literature, especially literature written by living Utah writers.
