UServeUtah, Utah’s Commission on Service & Volunteerism, will be accepting applications for for 9/11 Day of Service project grants from nonprofit organizations across the state of Utah in July 2017. The goal of these grants is to increase the number of people who serve in meaningful roles as volunteers dedicated to addressing important needs in communities across Utah.
Grants up to $1,000 will be awarded to Utah nonprofit organizations to assist in creating projects occurring between September 8-16, 2017 to celebrate the 9/11 Day of Service. A minimum of 100 volunteers must be recruited and used in the 9/11 Day of Service projects.
July 3, 2017 – Application opens
August 3, 2017 – Application due
August 18, 2017 – Awards are announced
September 8–16, 2017 – Projects must occur between these dates
September 11, 2017 – September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance
October 3, 2017 – Final reports from awardees due
