Arts Learning Grants

Arts Learning Grants Funding for interactive and comprehensive arts education-based projects where a qualified teaching artist(s) works with a specific community population, organization, or school. The links below are for our FY18 grants which are now closed. Teacher-Initiated-Project Grant (TIP)
Professional training opportunities for teachers in all artistic disciplines. $500 stipend. Deadline:   Reviewed quarterly.

Arts Project A or B

To enable organizations and groups, whose primary mission may or may not be arts-based, to develop and provide unique arts-based projects to the general public. The links below are for the Arts Project A grant which is now closed. Arts Project B applications will be available in September. Funding Range: $500 to $2,000

Capacity Building Grant

To help build the capacity of nonprofit organizations whose primary mission is arts-related through funding general operating expenses.
Funding Range: Up to $2,500

Folk Arts Funding

Folk Arts Preservation Grant  Guidelines
Folk Arts Cultural Preservation Grants assist individual artists, organizations, and cultural communities in the documentation, preservation, and presentation of traditional art forms. Deadline: Please check back for updated FY18 Guidelines in the next few months.

Folk Arts Apprenticeship Scholarships  Guidelines
Folk Arts Apprenticeship scholarships support master folk artists to pass on cultural traditions to selected students. Funds up to $2,500. Deadline: Please check back for updated FY18 Guidelines in the next few months.

General Operating Support Grants

General Operating Support grants are for arts organizations with paid staff and that have received three or more years of funding from UDAM. The links below are for our FY18 grants which are now closed.
GOS Tier I Grant: General Operating Budget over $750,000
Funding Range: Unspecified
GOS Tier II Grant: General Operating Budget under $750,000
Funding Range: Up to $30,000

Museum Grants

To improve museum best practices through care for and management of collections, exhibition development, and increased public access.
Museums GOS Tier I & II: General operating support grants for museums open more than 1,000 hours per year, and have 2+ years of non-consecutive funding from UDAM. Guidelines
Museum Project Tier III: Project grants for museums that are open fewer than 1,000 hours per year (~20 hours per week), Up to $1,000. Guidelines

Local Arts Agencies Grant

For designated local arts agency grants (also known as Local Arts Councils) to provide general operating support to ensure that the cultural, civic, educational and economic benefits of the arts are accessible to every community in the state. Funding Range: Up to $15,000

Partnership Grants

Partnership Grants are intended for organizations that offer areas of expertise or services that can be mutually beneficial to UDAM constituents and are a priority/initiative of UDAM. The nature of these partnerships must be unique and outside the scope of all other UDAM grant opportunities and applicants must partner with a UDAM staff member.
